ABOUT

I came to New York City from Chicago to study photography at the School of Visual Arts. After SVA, free-lancing, and a gallery show, I became an editor in photography and visual arts for Portfolio Magazine, Aperture Foundation and Fotofolio Inc. I have worked in art publishing for three decades and have written about photography for national magazines. Today, I am an independent curator, archival researcher, and a writer. The photographs included here represent my work from the twelve years I was most active as a photographer, 1969-1980.

I have produced two book & exhibition projects. Norman Rockwell: Behind the Camera was published in 2009 and its exhibition has toured ten national venues. The View from Space: American Astronaut Photography 1962-1972 was published in 1988 and the exhibition toured eighteen venues.
